Tutoring Services and Experience
I am a father of two and a single person private tutoring service, my students can take individual sessions with me or bring a friend to split the cost among a group.

Before taking on a new student, I like to hold a complimentary intake session with the student and his/her guardians. This is an informal meet and greet where we can assess the student's needs, and design a custom plan to reach the student's (and often the parent/guardian's) particular goals.

Many of my students feel the benefit of individualized tutoring and have stayed with me through elementary, middle and secondary school. Some even stay with me throughout their first year of University. It is amazing to see their careers develop.

Please visit my website for more in depth information regarding my rates, teaching pedagogy and background information.

Thank You,
please feel free to email or call me with any questions.

A little bit about my students, my teaching style and pedagogy;

Different students require different approaches. That is why I have a flexible teaching style and adapt my methods to each student's individual learning needs. No matter what the learning goal is, I am known to be extremely patient with all my students.

My students often fall on both extreme ends of the skill spectrum and anywhere inbetween. For students that have fallen behind their school curriculum and require extra attention, I concentrate on rebuilding their self-confidence. Most students just simply have a different learning style whose needs are not being met in their classroom. They may just need someone to take a different approach in teaching them the same materials they previously thought impossible.

I also often teach students who are in advanced or gifted programs in the Peel and Toronto curriculums, as well as students that are well ahead of their regular school curriculum and are simply looking for a challenge or for a way to fast-track their education and careers.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A TUTORING SESSION WITH MASOOD;
I normally expect my students to have completed (successfully or not) their homework when they come to a tutoring session, this way we can pinpoint their difficulties and help them excel, rather than just catching up with the class. Many of my students are surprised to learn that they actually enjoy doing math or physics.
I also have students that add extra weekly sessions during test periods, where I help them prepare.

AS A SIDE NOTE:
From my experience as a tutor, the most common challenge in today's classrooms is that students do not receive the individual attention that they need. They may feel embarrassed to ask many questions when the classroom is holding more than 30 students, especially when the question is regarding material from years prior. I am confident that everybody has the capacity to learn, it just takes some longer than others.

There is nothing more rewarding for me, than seeing the smile and newfound confidence of a student who is finally satisfied and proud of their own performance.
